Resumen:
The consumer awareness is an attitude that contributes towards consuming
without harming the environment, from the adoption of behaviors that may contribute
to the principles: socially just, environmentally sound and economically viable in line
with the concept of sustainable development. In this context, the aim of this paper is
to analyze the practices of conscious students of Directors of UFCG/CCJS
consumption, from the principles of Akatu. The research method was inductive and
the research is classified as: bibliographic, descriptive and field. Data collection was
conducted through a questionnaire applied to a sample consisting of 100 accessibility
for students. For the treatment of the data was used a quantitative and qualitative
approach. The main results of the research showed that the practices of conscious
consumption are still moderate by most respondents, although most often plan their
purchases. As regards the type of consumer research that adopted for most of the
dimensions studied most is still incipient as a consumer. The practice of consuming
conscious is a long process that must begin with an environmental quality education
since the early years of formation of the individual to the highest level based on
ethical principles and innovative and that will spread in the society.
