Resumo:
The Third Sector organizations have been generated from the practice of social movements
and strengthened by calling the struggle for citizenship and social justice, performing
activities that promote the common good and egalitarianism. Thus, this research aims to
identify how it is done to mobilize resources in order to guarantee sustainability,
environmental groups in Northeast Brazil registered in the National Register of
Environmental Organizations - CNEA. For this we used the literature, exploratory and field
with a questionnaire in order to observe the behavior of 7 environmental organizations in
northeastern Brazil on the practices used in the process of mobilizing resources to ensure its
sustainability, and these institutions, provided on the website of the Ministry of Environment,
entered the National Registry of Environmental Organizations (CNEA). From the survey
results, it can be stated that 7 of the entities surveyed, 5 of them have about 41% of its
encouragements coming from donations from individuals, 3 of the institutions receiving
67.3% of the resources of the Government, only one have access to international sources
which reveals the difficulty of access to resources outside the country. 71.4% of
organizations surveyed say that winning new employees is one of the main difficulties faced
by these organizations. Approximately 80% of organizations do not use the marketing and
market analysis, which is concerning as to bring the company together for these entities is
necessary to bring awareness of political action, this in turn taken from educational
campaigns held from strategic institutional marketing, and for attracting new employees the
use of market analysis and social marketing. Another relevant research indicates that all the
institutions surveyed are aware that the challenge of sustainability can compromise the
continuity of such organizations, the mobilization of resources considered as the solution to
overcome this obstacle. Yet for the mobilization of resources is necessary to understand that
this involves fundraising and commitment to bring the different subjects together to achieve
social change through political and financial support, these practices still add credibility and
legitimacy of Third Sector organizations.
