Resumen:
This scientific study is focused in check wich the management practices used by micro and
small enterprises of the clothing sector of the city of Sousa/PB. It is a bibliographic and field
search, who was made by the exploratory descriptive way done in 45 retail companies of the
city by means of a semi-structured in a total of 165. The results indicates in a general way
that the retailers in the city of Sousa/PB make use of management practices, however, this
occurs in a particular manner and in an informal way without a plan structure is consistently
able to diminish the existing process gargles decision, and the changes contained in the
scenarios in which they are inserted. It is understood that this can occur because managers
do not have, at least, one level of knowledge about the subject, which may be damaging
decisions are implemented. In this manner, it is suggested that such managers can make
use of management techniques consciously, orderly and structured in conformity the
precepts of the literature. Finally, it is understood that the practices used by managers of the
companies surveyed are still useful and effective in the view of managers, however, it is one
necessitated the greater managerial effort in search of new techniques in an attempt
minimize wealth and supposedly not stop of the enterprise.
