Résumé:
With the stabilization of the Brazilian economy we foresee with a relatively high
degree of accuracy, how much our money would be worth in the future, likewise the
Graduation Courses in Administration and Accounting Sciences have also begun to
put into practice concepts and technological innovations that may impact on the
cognitive abilities of its student body. Within this context, the present research will
evidence the financial and educational influence as well as the cognitive ability in
finances in the students' views of a public 1ES of Paraiba. The focus is to verify if the
knowledge acquired in the subjects which have a correlation with finances such as
Financial Mathematics and Financial Administration causes students to become
more conscientious on their financial decisions and how this reflects on daily life
practices. This study will be directed by the positivistic paradigm, that is, based on
observation and data analysis, the used methodology will be descriptive and
exploratory. As for the data collection, it is a Survey type, where questionnaires will
be applied to the students of the 3r d , 5t h , 7 t h and 9 t h terms of Accounting Sciences and
4 t h and 6t h terms of Administration. The tabulation and analysis of results is
performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences 13.0 - SPSS software,
through the Factorial Analysis, which obtained a 0.91 KMO, proving the viability of
the statistical technique, it was noted that of the 27 variables that have been
analyzed only 25 which in turn were grouped in 5 factors which point the financial
and educational influence as well as the cognitive ability in finances. According to the
analysis the factor that influences the most on the financial decisions in the view of
students is the relationship between finances and financial planning.
