Resumo:
Technological innovations and trends of recent decades indicate that accounting
education should prioritize not only the technical and practical knowledge of science book,
but to develop human skills and professional training that allows thoughtful
people to prepare to deal with the reality of international markets, technological
changes, organizational competitiveness, internationalization accounting. Then comes the
need to seek constant improvement in several areas of knowledge. Given the many changes
in the job market for accounting professionals. It is imperative that the change occurs in the
profile of professional accounting and this change will have its reflection in the educational
institutions responsible for training these professionals. This study's main objective is to
analyze the prospects of the Trainees Accounting Course, Federal University of Campina
Grande in relation to the accounting profession. We conducted a quantitative research, and
descriptive literature with the graduates of the course mentioned above and was obtained the
following results: we found that most students intend to work as a Professional
accounting, want to join in graduate school and the area of greatest interest to following is
the public accounting. However, most respondents admit they are not able to face the
adversities of the labor market.
