Abstract

The present study has as aim to demonstrate the possibility of granting the welfare benefit in the concubinage in front of the recognition the parallel families. To achieve this, searches identify the parallel families’ necessity of recognition in the Brazilian Legal Order. Initially, delineates the Social Welfare’s basic foundations, pointing out its concepts, guiding principles and demonstrating the current dilemma between the pension for death granting and the concubine. Thereafter, develops the theme about the parallel families and the needing of their recognition by the Brazilian Legal Order due to the constitutional principles. In the end, demonstrates the juridical possibility of assessment through pension for death between the wife and the concubine, once recognized the parallel family as a family entity.
