Resumo:
The companies operate in a constantly changing environment. Technological
advancement has shortened distances, passing the competition exists global rather
than local, generating the needs of organizations to seek new methods to achieve
their goals. Therefore, the design of management as science is essential, leaving the
scene aspect of empiricism, and in that vein, leaving it to managers lead this process
of cognition. The aim of this study was to identify how managers MPE'S City Uiraúna
- PB apply administrator functions in their companies. For this, we developed a field
study, a descriptive and exploratory, quantitative approach according to predefined
guidelines in order to facilitate the analysis of the data collected. We used a nonprobability sample of sixteen companies, retailers, affiliated to the CDL, in which a
questionnaire was structured. It was found that managers have knowledge, though
limited, the administrator functions, ranging to them the degree of importance of each
function are managers with education at undergraduate and post without illiterate, but
with training in different areas administration. Sees necessary to structure human
resources, marketing, services and finance. The control factor is worrying, since
virtually nonexistent control of HR, marketing and services, highlighting only the
financial control, yet simplified form, not paying up the data to the correct decision.
Ascertains that, among other things, that does not exist in any formal business
planning and schedule, noting that empiricism is still part of reality management of
these organizations.
