Resumo:
This research aims to analyze the success factors and main difficulties faced by micro and small enterprises of São Francisco-PB in the operationalization of its activities. From the visit carried out at the headquarters of the city's companies, it was possible to observe the existence of twelve micros and small businesses.To get the information together with the leaders of companies was applied questionnaire, in which it was possible to obtain data about the success factors and the main difficulties in the implementation of the activities. In addition to the study, was made a bibliographical research that give theoretical support to work. According to the obtained results it was found that the factors considered to be successful entrepreneurs ' optics are: Good knowledge of the market where it operates, choosing a good administrator and a good sales strategy. About the most important knowledge areas, have been answered as: planning, business organization and human relations. It is concluded that the difficulties in the vision of entrepreneurs from São Francisco-PB are: The country's economic crisis, bad debtors and high tax burden, even when asked by the difficulties since the opening of the company, was answered in greater numbers, the high tax burden.
