Abstract:
The article presents problematizations on mental health care in Brazil, raised by the Specific Supervised Training from the experience of the Psychology course held at one of the institutions (CAPS III). The mental health care was changed over the time, however, it was strongly marked by segregation, social exclusion and silecing of the insanes. The current national setting represented by the psychiatric reform, shows significant changes concerning the mental health care. It is presented as the result of technical and political transformartions that began long ago and suggests a new proposition for mental health. The implication between the clinic and politics opens a scenario that is able to give voice and autonomy to the individual, considering them as psychosocial beings. However, despite the institutional and legislative changes, the daily service is crossed by many issues that present difficulties, limitations and require a lot of creativity. The inclusion in the service during the training, through the realization of therapeutic assistance with users and family, allowed the reflection of matters related to mental health care issues, as well as the role played by the individuals in this field. Through this experience it was concluded that despite remarkable obstacles, a lot can still be done and that bet for change can not take place without coordination between the subject and the citizen, between the clinic and the politics.
