Résumé:
Mourning is a process of developing and solving a real loss or an equivalent order, by
which all pass at some point in their lives, with greater or lesser success. This paper
attempts to examine how to set up, in the poem “Absence” by Carlos Drummond de
Andrade, mourning, finitude and lack in objective reality, expressed through poetic
discourse and investigated the light coming from Freudian psychoanalysis.
