Resumo:
Based on an experience report, enabled by the Especific Supervised Internship I, this work aims to discuss the importance of the Kangaroo Method as an enabler of the paramount inscriptions on newborn in risk infants. The insternship was guided by psychoanalysis’ theoretical work and had as playing field two sectors of a health institution tied to the City Hall of Campina Grande, in the state of Paraíba. On the everyday of the internship practices besides the conversation spaces where the mother voices were valued, group dynamics were also used as they work as triggers, favoring the entrance of the questions to be approached. The interventions aimed the valorization and empowerment of mothers in order they could build new meanings around maternity while they recognize their role as protagonist on their babies’ psychic development. The lived experience allows us to consider the Kangaroo Method as a contributor to strengthen this bond when it provides a closer relation between the mother and the newborn in risk helping their psychic constitution. Moreover, the experience in the mother and child health field promoted the development of abilities and competences forged from the articulation of theory and internship practices, leading to learning and unique and essential knowledge construction.
