Resumo:
Discussions about man's health has been intensified in the last years, especially after the implementation of National's Policy for Integral Attention to Men's Health. This paper seeks to understand the human's health meaning in reports of a Public Institution of primary health care. The discursive material of an open group of the social network Facebook related to human health linked to the Health Department of the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba were analyzed. In the analysis of the collected material, was used the theoretical and methodological perspective of Discourse Analysis, developed by Social's Discursive Psychology theorists. It was observed that man's health concept for this institution, was built on the assumption that health is the absence of diseases. This concept contradicts the complexity of health's concept that has been built over the past thirty years which includes social, spiritual, organic, psychic, etc. Besides, other discursive actions observed in the material indicate that men's has the "carefree" position in relation to their own health, using this supposed identity characteristic of this group to explain their low frequency in health services.
