Resumen:
The field of psychopathology today has sought to understand the mental suffering by means of descriptive criteria, phenomenological and statistical. Taking ethical problems as if they are organic or biochemical derangements, the solution to these problems seems to be simple and efficient: the medicalization. In this context, the anguish is inserted as an object of medical knowledge under the nomenclature of generalized anxiety disorder or panic disorder. However, considering the anguish as one of the fundamental phenomena of human existence as well as being an inseparable affection of the subject's experience. This article aims to answer the following question: Is there any treatment for anxiety , it is not merely based on a description of signs and symptoms, but that has a theoretical construct about its etiology and consider the subject of the operating modes, without excluding the subjectivity of this? To answer the question will assume that the treatment for anxiety be given by psychoanalysis track. After tracing a brief theoretical course on how the concept of anxiety is developed in the work of Freud and Lacan in Seminar 10, will articulate the theory with a case of building proposal attended the School Psychology Service at the Federal University of Campina Grande.
