Resumen:
This experience report describes the practice of a specific supervised internship in Medical
Clinic unit of a public hospital in the state of Paraiba, Brazil.The main purpose was to
demonstrate the results obtained from the use of humanized support of psychological
reception visit in the context of specialized care of high complexityand subsidize reflection on
the concept of it as an appropriate and effective modality to provide a recovery and quality
treatment to a particular patient.The proposal was based on assumptions of Health
Psychology, Extended and Shared Clinic and Hospital Psychology.To ease the understanding
of the results, the main demands of users in the inpatient unit and the collected data were
systematized and organized according to themoments of the hospitalization (admission,
permanence and hospital release), featuring the purpose of the reception visitat each stage, the
procedures, interventions and auxiliary resources used and the results.In this context, it is
emphasized that it is possible that the subject-patient keep collaborative during treatment and
develop more effective strategies to face, since it is well received during the main stages of
the hospitalization process that theindividuals are going through.Therefore, it is expected that
this experience report is not only a source of theoretical consultation, but, mainly a stimulus
for forms more humanized of performance in hospital psychology, for amore detailedtopic
view,conducting researches, reflections and new perspectives toward the conception and
feasibility of new and more effective working strategies inter and multidisciplinary in the
hospital context.
