The Systematization of Nursing Care constitutes a structure capable of promoting the continuity of care and also the quality of nursing care provided to patients. The Nursing Process is a systematizing method of care that supports and directs the professional practice of the nurse, therefore, its implementation in the daily work facilitates nurses' understanding of the importance of organizing their actions, using models that are adaptable to their reality and subsidizing decision-making. The present study aims to investigate the contributions of the scientific studies published in the online databases, between 2007 and 2017, that address the main factors that hinder the use of SAE by nurses. It is an Integrative Revision referring to the scientific production on the difficulties faced by nurses in the proper implementation of the systematization of nursing care. 284 were found on the Systematization of nursing care, however, only 12 refer to the difficulties of its use. The results showed that the difficulties include the lack of preparation of the professionals, lack of time and human resources which causes the work overload. Through this study it is possible to conclude that there are difficulties, but it is necessary that nurses can overcome them, investing in their training and prioritizing the nursing process
