Resumo:
This study aimed to verify the relationship between stress and anxiety in hypertension people. For this, a systematic review of the literature was carried out on the bases PsycINFO, Capes Portal, Scielo and Medline VHL-PSI, using the descriptors in Portuguese language “hipertesão arterial” and “estresse” and “ansiedade”, and their correspondents in English "arterial hypertension" and "stress" and "anxiety", and in the Spanish language “hipertensión” and “estrés” and “ansiedad”, considering the last five years (2013 to 2018). 14 studies have been selected. The results have been grouped into three categories: a) the impact caused by the diagnosis of non-communicable chronic diseases, b) Psychological Factors Associated with HA c) Dissociation between the psychological and physical variables. It was realized that anxiety and stress can be presented as modular aspects in people with HA, as well as depression. Therefore, it is considered necessary to demystify the Cartesian logic between mind and body, so that actions of integral care of the subjects and the promotion and prevention of health are effective. It is expected that the results reaffirm the importance of considering the psychological and emotional aspects of chronic diseases, and that more recent studies, especially in the national sphere, are developed in the other areas of health, beyond of the medical field.
