Resumo:
The university is a challenging space for everyone, as the production and transmission of
knowledge end up mobilizing various cognitive and social aspects. physical and emotional
that determine the training process. It is increasingly observed that situations
faced in the academic environment have been causing psychic suffering that manifests itself
in different ways, such as: depression, anxiety, phobias and chemical dependency. It is notorious,
that the experiences lived at the university will somehow be incorporated by the subject,
either through the pleasure-suffering relationships, which are related to the subject's ability to
to find meaning in the face of the experiences he goes through or simply in the success or failure
obtained. Panic disorder is a disorder that can be characterized by the occurrence of
panic attacks, where the individual presents sudden bouts of malaise, feeling of danger
and fear of death with numerous physiological symptoms. The panic attack itself is not
considered a pathology, as it can occur in isolated cases in individuals who have passed
by a situation where they were subjected to a high load of stress or situation of extreme
danger and thus trigger an attack. In general, we aim with this report
autobiographical: describing the challenges and impacts on the academic experience of a carrier
of Panic Syndrome. This is a qualitative research, which enables the best
understanding of the researcher according to the course of the studied phenomena and that, for not
be rigidly structured, allows the proposal and exploration of new approaches, research
comprises the period from 2008 to 2018, in universities where the researcher studied, to
to analyze the data we used Bardin's thematic categorical analysis, structured in the discussion
three categories: category I: impacts on the academic life of a carrier of Down Syndrome
Panic, showing that when entering the university where it is expected to be an environment
healthy or that at least does not pose health risks, the person with an anxiety disorder
often comes across innumerable elements that in some way will influence the
academic performance and consequently lead to psychic suffering; category II: difficulties signaled in the learning and continuity of the course, where the author states that a
one of the biggest difficulties for people with panic disorder is not finding the necessary support
to withstand the stress caused by crises and to cope with various situations of the
day by day that can lead you to trigger it; category III: Strategies launched to
self-help/self-strengthening at the end of the course, acceptance of the problem and
coping with the situations that caused the illness are essential for the
overcoming it. Living with panic syndrome is a great challenge for the bearer,
as society becomes more and more competitive, anyone who owns
problems considered insignificant for a large part of the population will suffer from the barriers
found along the way. the university as a trainer of citizens, aims to
obligation to identify and offer help to students who find themselves in some type of
psychic suffering, in addition to promoting the dissemination of ideas that change the
prejudice that hangs over the majority and manages to become a healthy environment for everyone.
