Abstract:
Alcoholism is one of the most frequent morbidity in the world and with a high rate of failure and abandonment to treatment because of the number of relapses. The Basic Health Unit, part of the Psychosocial Care Network plays a key role in early intervention against risk situations to be inserted in the territory where lies the alcoholic facilitating the achievement of health actions, and aiming to modify it's relationship with drug effective ness treatment. Therefore, through the policy of harm reduction that values the autonomy of the individual and not prioritizing abstinence, PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE served on UBS context of prevention and health promotion. OBJECTIVE: Assess the impacts of the PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE Psychosocial Care Network, care to users of alcohol, crack and other drugs, in preventing relapses of alcohol users who are followed at UBS Hindemburgo Nunes de Figueiredo (Ramadinha II). METHODOLOGY: This is an exploratory and descriptive field research of qualitative approach and applied nature, which occurred at UBS Hindemburgo Nunes de Figueiredo (Ramadinha II) with collection from July to August 2016. It had as research subjects, registered users of alcohol this health unit and took part in the educational activities of the PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE. Data collection consisted of semi-structured interview. The resulting materials of the interviews were analyzed according to Bardin Content Analysis. The research was based the ethical and legal principles that underlie the studies involving human subjects. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Dialogue with the alcoholics of UBS on the impacts of PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE in preventing relapse indicated the need for specific support groups for addiction treatment, due to its importance in therapy, as also highlighted the difficulty of their accession treatment when they participate in support groups. Some users, mostly stressed that intra-family problems, the influences of the external environment and friends bring about the return to drug addiction, so it is important to change and adopt healthy habits that are configured as a protective factor for relapse prevention. Was selected as a protective factor, the support network formed by family, friends and the community; as well as the importance of having a job for the social inclusion of alcoholics. These go through several mental suffering due to addiction, such as depression, but through the actions promoted the PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE provided spiritual restoration, moral,
psychosocial rehabilitation, psycho-emotional and spiritual to them, improving self-esteem, respect yourself and the other by modifying the intrafamily behavior and reducing the use of alcohol. CONCLUSION: As a reflection of the findings, all actions and strategies developed by the PRÓ/PET-SAÚDE as well, the formation of the support group that provided a space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, generated impact on the lives of participants alcoholics resulting in improvement of life of individuals helping them prevent new episodes of relapse.
