It presents the institute of parental alienation, differentiating it from the syndrome of parental alienation. They expose the identification criteria, the characteristics of the alienating parent and the consequences for the alienated children and adolescents, as well as presenting the main movements that fight against parental alienation. It briefly discusses Law 12.318 / 2010, the Law of Parental Alienation, showing the importance of the law's classification, the role of justice, the difficulties in producing convincing evidence for the case.
