Abstract:
Nursing is a professional category that carries with it great responsibilities and duties that can cause physical and mental strain. Considering the importance of knowing the aspects related to the work that determine the illness for Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders these professionals and body dynamics, this study aimed to know about the scientific production on body dynamics and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in nursing practice. It was developed by Integrative Review method through research in the Virtual Health Library with pre-selected keywords. Data collection was performed by applying a previously designed instrument. The results show a high prevalence of related Musculoskeletal Disorders Work among nursing professionals and among the main causes mentioned in the literature is the lack of knowledge about the disease and lack of education on ergonomic principles and body dynamics, as well as an ergonomically inappropriate environment and lack of auxiliary equipment. Thus the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and health promotion of nursing workers pervade the creation of ergonomically appropriate and safe environments and the implementation of training and continuing education on the proper use of body dynamics. It was concluded that nursing professionals are vulnerable to diseases of musculoskeletal disorders and there is a need for preventive actions both by health organizations and worker thinking in health and quality of life of nursing professionals.
