Résumé:
This study is a brief study about the history of criminal politics, conceptualizing it and
showing its influence on the State. The biggest emphasis will be on penal populism
and, specifically, to the media penal populism, because it is an innovative way that
has the support of technological advances that drive this movement. In this paper, we
will analyze the television media. Making a connection among the criminal populist
politics and the ten measures to combat corruption proposed by the Federal Public
Ministry, organ that also carries criminal policy by the State. The method used to
realize this research was the qualitative, based in data taken from web, as well as
doctrine and scientific articles. This study aims to show how penal populism, with
media‟s support, is capable to exercise influence on the most various State Organs,
in the spheres of Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. Resulting on elaboration of
criminal rules, created in emergence character, to retain the popular clamor, like a
way to guarantee the safeness. Consequently, this research also will show the treat
which can be caused by this measures to the Democratic State of Law. Also shows
the symbolic application of Penal Law, since it loses its “ultima ratio” character.
