Résumé:
The present study aims to elucidate the importance of work as the best tool in
promoting the recovery of the grieving, in order to enable it to prepare for a return to
social life. However, due to the crisis in the penitentiary system, it hinders the
development of work activities in the prison units, resulting in the lack of conditions
that will lead to the accomplishment of this achievement and, consequently,
frustrates the primary purpose enshrined in the Criminal Enforcement Law, which is
the reintegration of Distressed to society. It is well known that it is not enough to
return the inmate to social life, it is necessary that the latter has undergone reeducation measures in order to promote the encouragement to live a dignified and
honest life, based on the same livelihood, thus, it is possible to see the relevance of
Learning and professional development within the prison, in order to stimulate and
expand the productive capacity of the inmate, and thereby reestablish their selfconfidence, enabling their reintegration not only to society but also to the labor
market. And consequently, through this mechanism the penalty can achieve its
resocializador end. Prison work has educational and productive purposes; And is a
right of the inmate provided by the Criminal Enforcement Act (LEP) and provided for
in the Criminal Code and must be guaranteed since the internee is guaranteed all
rights not reached by the sentence or by law (article 3 of the LEP) . Thus, based on
the empirical deductive method, it will be sought to demonstrate a promising reality in
the resocializing principle by the work in the unit under study.
