Abstract:
The paper presented here is to analyze the Assistive Technology, an important area
of multidisciplinary character and responsible for ensuring autonomy and quality of
life for people with disabilities and reduced mobility. Indeed, the TA is a real tool for
the promotion of human dignity, since its abundance of resources, materials and
methods is true gateway to social integration and therefore deserves its place in the
realm of public policy. While it is right under the law, the availability of TA resources
is still poor due to scanty government actions. Thus, through a deductive research
that begins with an overview about human rights, it is proposed to study under an
optical political, social and economic as regards the availability of assistive
technology, examining the federal public policies between the years 2011 and 2014
focused on the development of this area, highlighting the importance of the
development of this theme for realization of human rights
