Abstract:
Moral harassment in the workplace is a social problem caused by the exposure of workers to humiliating, vexing and repetitive situations. It is a type of violence, identified in different social environments, that violates the principle of human dignity. Thus, this study aims to identify the existence of the practice of moral harassment in the workplace, ways of combating and clarifying the problem, knowing the causes and consequences of moral harassment and investigating the intersectoral approach in the care of the victim of moral harassment. in the work environment. From a methodological point of view, this is a descriptive and explanatory bibliographic study, using indirect documentation, collected through books, theses, dissertations, judged by the courts, jurisprudence and by electronic means. The data were organized and analyzed through jurisprudential and doctrinal understanding. The results obtained revealed that most of the victims have valuable professional and moral qualities and for these reasons cause envy or jealousy to the aggressor. It was also noted that the number of harassed women is higher than the number of harassed men. It was observed that the harasser has a narcissistic personality, with feelings of greatness, extreme self-centeredness, which explores the other in interpersonal relationships. It is concluded that studies like this enable visibility of situations of moral harassment in the workplace and that by being socialized it is possible to rethink practices in the field of law, with planning and strategies in which aim at preventing abuse against workers.
