Résumé:
It is understood that bullying is a worldwide phenomenon, where studies have noted
that this phenomenon is growing with significant frequency. Thus, this study aims to
analyze the origin, causes and consequences of bullying in the workplace in the light
of Brazilian law. We look first in this study establish a brief history of harassment in
Brazil and legal efforts to curb such acts, also show the evolution of human rights and
conceptualize the principle of the human person, based on the doctrine and
jurisprudence, the considered harassment moral. There has as methodology the
literature and document analysis, using research-depth reading of works by different
authors, texts related to the topic, research on the internet, legal journals, CLT and
the like. Thus, trying to catalog the subject, causes, and the legal protection in Brazil,
creating strategies to be adopted to prevent and combat the problem. The theoretical
framework was based by some authors between them stand out Avila (2009);
Hirigoyen (2012) Castro (2012); Ramos (2013), among other authors. It is also
understood that there is need to increasingly promote workers with information about
the problem, prevention, and a safe and healthy work environment in order to avoid
further harassment, which bring prejudice both in the professional performance and
for society.
