Abstract:
Currently, there is much talk of human rights and in its various forms, guaranteed by
the Constitution. The meaning of Human Rights passes by several aspects to be
examined in detail, especially in the penitentiary system where highly complex
shows. The decline of the Brazilian prison system affects not only the prisoners, but
also society and the professionals who are in direct and indirect contact with the
current prison reality. Failure to comply with the fundamental principles that guide
human subsistence is notorious. This paper aims to describe the current functional
structure of the Penal Colony Agricultural Sousa-PB, checking errors and omissions
with respect to working conditions of the Military Police who serve that prison unit.
Therefore, one will use it empirical method, embodied in actual experience, as well
as deductive, starting from general premises through literature and document
analysis by theoretical reflection, beyond the hermeneutical juridical method .Taking
as focus search the Penal Colony Farm of the Wilderness, City Sousa- PB and the
Brazilian prison situation through of data and basic concepts underlying the matter.
