Résumé:
Child labor in Brazil, is an old and disturbing reality. Still a developing country,
there is still quite present social problems arising from social inequality and
other economic problems. There are several routes to be followed until it
reaches the idealized stage. However, most of these paths through the
investment and attention should be given to the children of the country. This is
because the more they have the same opportunities, the closer will be the Brazil
of being the developed country that craves. One of the points that deserve
attention, no doubt is the need to remove children from labor exploitation. In
response to this, the Brazilian government establishing social programs titled
Eradication of Child Labor, PETI and Bolsa Familia, which was later integrated
to that. These government programs have decreased the main scope of child
labor, and work through financial incentives to poor families, program
participants, requiring, however, the frequency of their children in school. The
present work has the purpose to evaluate all historical, evolutionary, legislative,
social aspects related to the exploitation of children and youth work. Setting
admission limits, and under what conditions the exploitation of this type of labor
is defined as a crime. And finally, concluding that the Bolsa Família and
Eradication of Child Labor, PETI, yes programs contribute to the reduction of
child labor, injecting income families with alarming poverty level, requiring the
same, the frequency of their children in school, helping to reverse the worrying
numbers of child labor in Brazil. The methodology used is the method of
deductive approach, starting from a general to specific.
