Abstract:
This work brought to reflection about how the processes of affectivity and emotions
influence our daily lives, demonstrating their importance and making us think how they can
be directly related to the learning process. It’s investigated the meaning of the teacher-student
relationship in learning and the concepts of affectivity and emotional education. Conducted by
means of qualitative research and documentary analysis, it was possible to notice that projects
were introduced in the operational guidelines of the State of Paraíba, in the second semester
of 2014, aimed at the area of emotional education aiming to reduce violence rates and
promote learning improvements through the creation of a culture of peace. In 2017, the Liga
Pela Paz project made headlines in the newspaper A União, in the State of Paraíba, showing
positive and significant results, such as the 37% reduction in violence rates, the 27.4%
increase in academic learning rates and the increase 28% of socially skilled behaviors. It is
possible to conclude with the data collection the effectiveness that affectivity and emotions
have when worked in favor of learning.
