Résumé:
Nutrition, as a scientific field, has been developing as an area of sciences in
order to expand and expand the possibilities of intervention, training, training
and locus of work. This process means, among several dimensions, a concern
and criticism in health education as it progresses, in 2001, from the
competences of the National Curriculum Guidelines. A proposal that reinforces
this discussion and implements strategies that induce curricular changes that
are consistent with this purpose is the Tutorial Education Program - PET. This
study aimed to analyze the contributions to the development of the skills and
competences of the nutritionist, from the perspective of graduates of the
Nutrition course at the Federal University of Campina Grande, campus CuitéPB. This is a qualitative assessment study of the Tutorial Education Program
(PET-Nutrição) carried out in the Nutrition course, at the Federal University of
Campina Grande, campus Cuité, in the period from 2012 to 2019. Data
collection took place in two stages: application of a semi-structured
questionnaire via Google Forms and an online interview with graduates. The
systematization of data and identification took place using the Atlas T.I.
software following Bardin's methodology. The results showed that PET shows
itself as a space for the development of skills and competencies brought by the
National Curriculum Guidelines, mainly in extension and research projects, with
contact with the community and with other health professionals, in addition to
contributing to growth professional, personal and academic. The study showed
that graduates built bridges between teaching, research and extension
activities, strengthening the inseparability between the three pillars. The study
also showed that PET is capable of promoting theoretical-practical training that
is complementary to the contents seen in the classroom in the process of
training the Nutrition student, providing better dialogue and understanding about
professional practice. Although PET is a space for growth for the student, this
study showed that there are some weaknesses in the program structure, as well
as that there is a need for more studies that can guide future evaluations of the
program. From this, it is evident the importance of the higher education
institution in recognizing the role of PET in the training of undergraduate
students, and that it is committed to building partnerships with the public service
that guarantee spaces for PET to provide academic training. , professional and
personal, of skills and competencies necessary for professional practice. Still,
more studies are needed in the area to guide the evaluation processes in the
program, taking into account the individual characteristics and dynamics of each
PET group
