Resumen:
Teacher training is an issue that should always be the subject of new research, leading courses to rethink their training models, as well as the demands that must be met. This work addresses the theme of teacher training with the title: Teacher Training of Sociology at UFCG Campus Sumé - The Theory and Practice Place. This study aims to analyze in students’ reports from the CDSA / UFCG Campus Sumé-PB who were part of the Scholarships Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation, PIBID (in Portuguese), the place of theory and practice in teacher education. The methodology used is a qualitative, documentary and bibliographic technique research, through theorists who study and approach the theme. The reading of the work PIBID: Memories of initiation to teaching is a bridge to the research of Michael Young's theory, in which the author refers to two types of knowledge: "the knowledge of the powerful" and "powerful knowledge". In this sense, it is possible reflect that the teachers in training may have access to practices that improve their professional label and performance, and with the feasibility of exercising the teaching practice in the classroom since the beginning of the training, they will be able to achieve positive results, being able to if you recognize this as powerful knowledge. From the analysis of the data and results achieved in this work, it was evident in the reported memories that it is possible to prove the place of theory with an emphasis on practice brought up in the Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program.
