Resumo:
The majority of patients assisted by the Best at Home program have chronic non-communicable
diseases (NCD´S) as primary pathologies, in which inadequately treated, can result in
consequences leading to a decrease in patients´ life quality due to the onset of secondary
complications. This study aimed to identify the NCD'S and its impacts in life qualities of
individuals assisted by the Melhor em Casa program in the city of Cuité-PB. Socio-economic
data were evaluated and questionnaires SF-36 applied, which evaluates the life quality, high
viability tool, with application in any population, considering the functional capacity
simultaneous evaluation, limited by physical, pain, health state, vitality aspects, limitation by
social aspect, emotional aspect limitation as well as patient's mental health. The results showed
that Best at Home assisted patients present low scores for functional capacity domains, limited
by physical aspects, general health state and mental health, whose average values of mental and
physical summaries, in their majority were less than 50, indicating poor life quality and
precariousness. The low score values are due mainly by low functional capacity and physical
limitations, which consequently impact on emotional aspects.
