Resumo:
Water is an increasingly scarce resource, either by reducing supply mainly due to the pollution of water sources, population growth is due to increased demand. Finding alternatives to address this problem is a major concern of today's society. From this need, the adoption of systems to capture rainwater presents itself as an important alternative and efficient to work directly on this issue, because it is an instrument for the management of water resources already possessed the technology to use. Through a literature review that identifies key practices for managing the use and exploitation of water resources in vertical condominiums also grounded in the concepts of systems and interventions that help reduce water consumption in these environments, this paper conducts a case study in a vertical residential condominium located in the urban area, now traditional style of housing in Brazil, showing the main activities that require water consumption in this environment, developing a feasibility analysis for the implementation of a system for capturing of rainwater and presenting the results that may be obtained from the adoption of this tool. With the implementation of a reservoir catchment of rainwater will be a 30% reduction in water consumption of the condominium, at a cost to be amortized over 04 years.
