Resumo:
The planetary sustainability of the environment is now considered one of the greatest
challenges of public managers, and despite being seen as an environmental ideas
per se, involves the economic and social sphere. The international community has
woken up to the environmental problems from reflections on the environmental
impacts generated by positivist rationality. Thus, the complexity that surrounds the
planet led to the holding of conferences and treaties, it was evident since 1972 with
the implementation of the Stockholm Conference incessant quest of mankind to
consolidate new thinking centered society / nature relationship. In this sense the
present monograph aims to analyze the effectiveness of sustainability in the Brazilian
periphery, watching the papers carry the commandments also international and
national legal in these locations, with a focus on the National Environmental Policy
(Law no. 6.938/1981) highlighting its implications the urban landscape mode and
occupation of Brazilian favelas, because the same lack of a policy that promotes
urban restructuring aimed against at least local lines, the unease generated by
environmental degradation, and the study of new practices and pedagogical
processes for sustainability awareness of the need to ensure the quality of life of
mankind. It draws up the legal-hermeneutical method for organizing guidelines,
values and principles needed to epistemological development as well as to facilitate
the use of interpretative technique. Thus, the study will be developed by application
of the methods of inductive approach, historical, comparative and evolutionary as a
research technique, it will make use of interpretive and use of bibliographic data.
Moreover, portrays how much Brazil has evolved in environmental terms, as the
country now has legislation aimed at creating effective and efficient policies in order
to equate the problem mainly aimed at national posture, in order to direct it to
awareness, through ecopedagogy as assumption of global citizenship.
