The use of polluted water in landscape irrigation is one of the sustainable alternatives to regions with water scarcity. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of non-potable water used for irrigation of green areas of the Children's Park, as well as analyze the biological contamination of the soil-plant system of this park.The Data collection was performed for four consecutive weeks in the dry season . Water samples were collected for physical-chemical and bacteriological and soil samples and plant for evaluation of biological contamination by fecal coliforms. multiple regression models have been proposed to assess the relationship between abiotic parameters (total phosphorus, ammonia (NH3), Turbidity and Colour) and biotic (thermotolerant coliforms) of water.The water showed the physicochemical parameters, such as, Turbidity, Color, sodium (Na +), chloride (Cl) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), outside the standards set by CONAMA Resolution. 357, Class 2, for landscape irrigation. The values found in the regression models showed no significance between the abiotic and biotic parameters evaluated, however, the model that uses only physical variables has better ajuste.Em relation to biological contamination of the park, found a high number of coliforms in the plant and ground, showing the landscape irrigation using non-potable favors a high contamination of these systems, with mean values of thermotolerant coliforms in water 1,3x104,5 *, soil and plant 4,8x106,5 5.0 x 106, 7. However, further studies are needed to avalair epidemiological risk to park visitors.
