Resumen:
The idea of ―development" is in the World Vision center. In a globalized and multiple challenges to the planet human being education expresses the need to break with traditional models for teaching. In city management, decision making, expressed in understanding the world, not only represent the current state of popular culture, but the educational level of fertility. In Brazil, the growth of large cities has advanced historically devoid of social participation and to the detriment of the fertile areas. In the State of Paraíba, Campina Grande evolved from village to village and town to the areas of the Creek Watershed Watershed Piabas (MBHRP). Under the passivity of its population two thirds of generating highly urbanized watershed was socialized losses. In point against the situation, an affected collective started to question and given access to the natural resources of the watershed use and created the Interagency Coordination for Revitalization of Piabas, bringing together schools, churches, communities, NGOs and universities. The author became a member of the Joint. The reflection of the problematic allowed seeing intrinsic limitation in the educational and cultural grievances reviews standards being heeded the educational intervention. In this context this thesis occurred in the joint environment and aimed to highlight natural remnants and physical aspects of the ambience Piabas within an educational proposal. The specific objectives focused on four points of inquiry, namely: a) morphometry and use and occupation; b) water resources; c) avifauna composition; d) mobilize the collective. Participant observation was carried out for 36 months (January 2011 to February 2014) and involved a mix of strategies between the exact social sciences, natural, and cognitive, and environmental education as integrating axis of teaching, research and extension. The results highlighted that the watershed morphometry belongs to municipalities Puxinanã, and Campina Grande Lagoa Seca with respectively 4.57%, 6.47% and 88.15%, total area (A) of 3,541 ha and stroke length d 'water main (L) of 19.6 km. The use and occupation of land found urban growth of 122 % between 1986 and 2007 and decreased vegetation in primary 76.14%. In water it was found that the extracts are rich in headwater streams and freshwater with desirable physicochemical parameters. The study revealed the existence of avifaunístico 5.56 % of Brazilian birds, 12 species are endemic and threatened extinction. In the context of mobilization was recognized the interrelationship of articulation and advancement of the shares in favor of the creek in the years of its existence. Concluded that still protects areas of the Caatinga, Atlantic Forest ecotone relatively preserved and that the educational intervention has generated institutional, social, environmental, economic, political, educational, cultural gains beyond the conclusion of the research.
