Abstract

This Course Conclusion Work -TCC has the fulcrum of analysis to practice social worker at the Reference Center for Social Assistance (CRAS ) in the municipality of Sousa / PB. The theoretical discussion that guided the development of this work was structured based on the analysis of the National Social Assistance, since its genesis , emphasizing their integration into Social Security with the Federal Constitution of 1988 , passing through the adoption and enforcement of the Organic Law Social assistance ( Invalidity ) , the National Social Assistance Policy ( PNAS ) and the establishment of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS ) . Discussed about Social Work and its relationship with the Social Assistance Policy. Subsequently we analyze the roles and responsibilities of social workers in CRAS, and finally present the survey data , which were revealing that subjects research, due to objective conditions outlined by the neoliberal policy , summed existing policy issues hindering the development a more efficient practice that aspect is accentuated by the fragility of the subjective conditions peculiarizam training and practice of social workers . To understand that the object of study, we conducted a qualitative exploratory research whose subject corresponded to two social workers. The data collection was processed through semi - structured interviews. To analyze systematically the data we used the technique of content analysis of the statements, in the light of theoretical references backed in critical social theory, which guides the hegemonic training and professional practice.
