life expectancy of the population , there is also an increase in violence against the
elderly . It is noticed that there is a long delay when it comes to ensuring security for
the elderly , for policies that protect that segment of the population are still far from
providing good care for the elderly. Specifically aimed to approach about this type of
violence , featuring the new family arrangements , forms of such violence , the
socioeconomic profile of the families of the elderly and the work of the institution to
face this kind of violence team. This was a study conducted exploratory qualitative
methodology through literature research and document , where the records of the
CREAS / Sousa were analyzed in order to provide a contribution to the reality of care
in the county. As part of the ITS , the CREAS is an institution that offers Special
