A atuação do Serviço Social na Secretaria de Ação Social - Departamento de Habitação do Município de Sousa - PB.

Abstract

The present work has as central theme actuation of Social Service in the Secretariat of Social Action- Department of housing in the town of Sousa-PB. The interest for the theme arose due to the experience of training in the institution mentioned. The work shows the historicity of the urban issue in Brazil, the housing policy until you get to the particularities of the town of Sousa. Then discusses the insertion of Social Service in division will undoubtedly help the work, the relationship of the Social Service with the urban question/ housing stock and the limits and difficulties faced by social assistant at the institution to implement housing politics, the latter is the main objective of the research. It is a study of bibliographic and field imprint. For data collection, we held a semi-structured interview with the social assistant from the said institution, which we were able to demonstrate that the issue to a political party interferes with production of villas, because there is no counterpart on the part of the State with the municipality, leaving this way of benefiting the population who need for housing. Since the villa is part of a constitutionally guaranteed social rights, but bringing to the reality that right is not being respected. Thus, in the face of this difficulty pointed by the professional, it is necessary that the same has a critical vision in the face of this unequal society fraught with contradictions, thinking in coping strategies, through articulations with other areas for which the users of this politics can have access to their rights, in view of their conditions of life, their possibilities of participation in the process of housing.The present work has as central theme actuation of Social Service in the Secretariat of Social Action- Department of housing in the town of Sousa-PB.
