Resumo:
This Course Conclusion Work had as objective to study the work of the Social
Service in the Student Assistance of the Federal University of Campina Grande -
UFCG, Sousa / PB campus, based on the perception of / as students inserted / as in
the university residence. The interest in the service came from the inquiries that
came from our experience with the trainee in the brand. The research was of
essentially qualitative character, counting as subjects the / as students inserted in the
University Residence. Our sampling was not probabilistic of the intention al type,
applied with a total of six teen students. The data collection is processed by semi structured questionnaire. Data analysis was based on the or etical frame works
supported by a critical perspective. The results of the research are revealing that
Social Work is conceived in the majority of students as researched, as
bureaucraticand, in many cases, restrictive of rights. However, it should be noted that
Social Service in an education al assistance, as well as the development of all public
policies, is inserted in a completely restrictive context, due to the neoliberal policy,
being undoubtedly theoretical-methodological, ethical-politicalAndtechnical operativesothattherightsoftheuserpopulationcanbemadeviable.
