Resumo:
We evaluated the influence of irrigation with treated sewage effluent and fertilizer with
castor meal on growth of Jatropha plants. For this we conducted the experiment in
drainage lysimeters arranged outdoors in Research Program Sanitation - PROSAB in
Campina Grande, PB. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks in
distribution 2 x 4 factorial with four replications, and the factors wastewater and public
water supply used for irrigation and four nitrogen levels (50, 100, 150 and 200 kg N ha -
*), taking as the source of castor meal. The evaluations were initiated at 126 days after
the pruning of plants, being held every 42 days, which were measured in height and
stem diameter of jatropha. It was observed that the quality of water used in irrigation
influenced variables. The plant height showed effect of different doses of nitrogen in
contrast with the stem diameter.
