A efetivação dos parâmetros de atuação dos/as assistentes sociais na saúde: utopia ou realidade?

Abstract

The present monographic work entitled the effectuation of the Parameters of Performance of Social Workers in Health: utopia or reality? Emphasizes the question of the effectiveness of the referred Parameters in the Health Policy with regard to the Emergency Care Units Dr. Mauro Abrantes – UPA in the particularity of the municipality of Sousa in the Paraíba hinterland. The aim was to identify if there is the execution of this, from the understanding of the professionals of this unit. For this purpose, it covers some specific objectives in order to understand the specificities that particularize the work of Social Workers at UPA, which are: revealed the main demands presented to Social Workers in the daily work of the UPA; understand the political dimension that permeates the intervention of Social Work professionals in the UPA; to identify how Social Workers understand and mediate the demands presented to them by the users served at the institution. The methodology was based on research of an essentially qualitative nature and data collection was carried out through the application of an online electronic questionnaire. In the theoretical framework we used authors such as: Bravo (2009), Teixeira (2011), Matos (2013), Brazil (2012) among others. The subjects involved in the research corresponded to four professionals who work at the mentioned institution. With the results of this research, it became clear that there are numerous barriers complicate the implementation of the Parameters by the Social Service professionals who work in the referred service unit
