This work aims to present a study on the advantages and disadvantages of using biomass, a source of energy that is as old as mankind and as new as today's newspaper, as well as assessing its impacts on the financial system, with the objective of analyzing the various statements that try to disqualify the technical and economic viability of its use. provides a wide discussion on the rational management of territorial resources to guarantee the cultivation of agricultural products for "food" purposes and for use as a source of CLEAN energy, in addition to listing some benefits of it for less industrialized regions, as biomass is a a particularly useful resource for nations in the developing world, where high oil prices slow economic growth. as a source of biomass energy it competes with food, raising its prices and increasing hunger on the planet, as it is not biomass for energy that aggravates hunger, but the concentrating economic model. so much so, that hunger has increased during the last 30 years, even with an increase in food production, since much is no longer consumption, because billions of people lack purchasing power. therefore, getting to know energy systems better from biomass, as well as their possibilities for improvement, is an essential task in the process of building a sustainable energy matrix.
