This work has like general objective, elaborating an Environmental Education proposal with contextualized activities for schools in the Brazilian Semiarid, based on the concept of Environmental Education of the teachers of the Municipal School of Elementary and Secondary Education Canon João Marques Pereira - Serra Branca - PB. This research used assumptions of qualitative descriptive research. Thus, in the first phase of the research, bibliographic research was carried out and in the second phase, online field research due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID 19). In view of the data obtained in this research, it was found that although all teachers claim that they address environmental issues in the disciplines they teach, we find that the environmental contents are few discussed by all teachers in the classroom, being basically restricted to some subjects as Sciences and Geography, a fragmented, punctual and decontextualized teaching. Thus, through the findings made, it was possible to elaborate an Environmental Education proposal with some suggestions for contextualized activities, contributing to reduce the scarcity of pedagogical activities related to this theme, and therefore that can be adapted by teachers for the development of Environmental Education in the context of schools in the Brazilian Semiarid. The results of the research also show that school educators need to deepen their knowledge of Environmental Education and the Brazilian Semiarid Region, so it is necessary to develop training work with school teachers, because if educators are not sensitized to environmental issues, their students will also not be.
