Resumen:
One of the most used models in theoretical studies of digital communication
channels is the AWGN channel. In this work, a bibliographic review on relevant topics
regarding the study of the model referred above, as well as a review of the digital
modulation schemes Phase Shift Keying (PSK) and Quadrature Amplitude
Modulation(QAM). Implementation details of an AWGN channel simulator that
performs digital information transmission using arbitrary order PSK modulations or
rectangular QAM are shown. If compared to the theoretical results, the simulation
results obtained from simulation, probability of symbol error curves and noisy
constellation diagrams, present high degree of agreement, validating the developed
computer model.
