Résumé:
The world was committed into social isolation due to the pandemic derived from COVID-19.
The higher education institutions adopted telework as course of action to face the public
calamity condition and emergency in public health. Thus, this work has as main objective the
analysis of telework implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic for the administrative-
technicians from a higher education institution. The methodology uses a quali-quantitative
approach, with data collect carried out through an online survey answered by technical
administrative employees that are working on telework during the pandemic. Additionally, an
interview was done with the responsible for the human resources department at UFCG. The
interview sought to understand the organization point-of-view of the telework experience
during the pandemic. As main results, it was identified: the main support points and restrictions
of telework in the institution; the factors that can influence the elongation of telework; the
interference aspects; the advantages and the perception view from employees and from the human resources responsible about the use of telework during the pandemic. In conclusion, the
telework can be an advantageous option to reduce office costs and improve innovation for the
Brazilian government.
