Understanding the management of companies and their particularities is crucial for making an assertive decision, especially when it comes to family businesses. Such companies have specificities that often generate divergence of interests with respect to the company, family and property, represented by the Three Circles Model. The objective of this article is to analyze how management is characterized in the family business Armazém das Miudezas, based on the Three Circle Model. Therefore, in methodological terms, it is characterized as qualitative, descriptive research and case study. For data collection, interviews were conducted with the owner, the manager, the financial manager and the supervisor, being the first three family members. Participatory observation was also used as a method, and the analysis was performed using the technique of qualitative data analysis. Regarding the results, it was observed that the Armazém das Miudezas, despite adopting some management practices linked to the path of professionalization and already presenting the second generation working in the business, falls within the 'axis of the company', between the “start” and “expansion/formalization”; in the „family axis‟, in the “joint work” phase; and in the “ownership axis‟, in the „owner‟ controller ‟phase, because despite the participation of both employees and children, decisions are concentrated on the founder. It is suggested that the company studied should plan the succession process and intensify the professionalization process, aligning family management with the best market practices.
