Resumen:
This work aims to present a research developed from a workshop with didactic activities exploring in some moments and others not, the use of the calculator in classrooms. The research is characterized as qualitative and was developed from the following question: What are the conceptions of undergraduate students in mathematics, future teachers, regarding the use of the calculator in the process of teaching mathematics? It aims to investigate students' conceptions of mathematics about the use of the calculator in mathematics teaching, analyze the contributions of the workshop developed in the process of reflection on the appropriate time for the use of the calculator in classrooms. To understand the theme, we did a bibliographical research on the historical, cultural and pedagogical aspects of the calculator. The workshop was held with six undergraduate math graduates, future math teachers. The analysis of the data showed us the importance of intensifying the discussions about the use of the calculator in the subjects of the degree in mathematics, presenting to the future teachers their potentialities in the teaching of mathematics and the breaking of some paradigms of which the use of calculator blocks the learning Of mathematics.
