Abstract:
In this research, we present an experience of reading with poems by Sérgio Capparelli that has the teenager as the lyrical subject in a class of the first grade of high school. In a context of few poetic productions aimed at young readers (Pinheiro, 2018) and (Silva, 2009), Sérgio Capparelli's work stands out for its aesthetic quality and the theme. To that end, we rely on a more interactive methodological perspective of the relationship between the poetic text and the reader, using mainly the performance method, systematized by Oliveira (2018) based on Zumthor's (2018) performance studies. We used Jauss and Iser's (1979) reflections about the reception of literary texts, and we also appropriated the conception of the reception method by Aguiar and Bordini (1988). Thus, our main objective was to analyze a reading experience that uses the performance method, as a vocal and corporal game, with juvenile poems by Sérgio Capparelli. Our specific objectives were: to discuss juvenile poetry in Brazilian literature; to present Sérgio Capparelli's poetic piece aimed at young people; to reflect upon the effects of vocalization and body movement in the discovery of possible meanings of the poetic text, as a game, by the encounter of the students with it. We based on the studies of Antunes (2013),
Cademartori (2012), and Souza (2001) about youth literature, as well as the reflections of
Salles (2012) and Machado (2012) about children and juvenile poetry. We found in the
performative approach a poetic approximation that was welcomed by the students, who
entertained the poetic texts in their movements and discussions. Thus revealing they had a consistent aesthetic experience with what Jauss (1979) calls poiesis, in which readers recreate the poems as theirs according to their experiences and reflections.
