As for the methodological procedures, the research was classified as descry ptive and exploratory. Adopting a qualitative approach, the environmental problems of the municipality were identified and subsequently the selection of twenty environmental indicators, allowing the production of the FPEIR model that demonstrated the cause and effect relationships between the indicators of each dimension. The results found were listed in the form of a diagnosis according to the structure proposed by the Geo Cidades methodology, highlighting the main urban-environmental problems and demonstrating the need for the elaboration and / or reformulation of public policies aimed at the management of water resources, solid waste and urban politics.
