The vegetable intercropping is a technique that has been used for hundreds of years, with a way to improve the use of the planting areas, cultivating several species in a single area, bringing diverse productive and economic benefits. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the economic viability of the leaf cabbage and coriander intercropping by analyzing the production costs. The work was carried out under field conditions, in the Center of Science and Technology Agrifood of the Federal University of Campina Grande, located in the Municipality of Pombal - PB, the municipality of Pombal is located in the Meso-region of SertãoParaibanoand Microregion de Sousa. It has an area of 666.7 km2, altitude of 184 meters, geographical coordinates 06°46'13” south latitude and 37°48'16‟ west longitude. Were available tree trataments: 1 = Leaf Cabbage in monocultive; 2= coriander in mnocultive and 3= Leaf Cabbage and coriander in intercropping. For economic analysis of the Leaf Cabbage „Manteiga‟ in monocultive; coriander „Verdão‟ in mnocultive and intercropping with Leaf Cabbage and coriander were calculated: productivity; Total operational cost; Labor cost; Cost of machine hours, implements and operations, Depreciation, Gross and Net Revenue, Rate of Return and Profitability Index. In 1 hectare the total operational cost of monoculture of cabbage leaf and coriander was R $ 8,404.91 and 8209.64 ha-1, lower values than that of the intercropping with R $ 10,862.57 ha-1, in the intercropping there were the highest expenses with inputs, increasing effective operations and lower depreciation expenses. The gross revenue of the intercropping was the highest (R $ 49,828.54 ha-1) and monoculture of the coriander that obtained the lowest (R $ 11,223.12). Cabbage monoculture presented net income, rate of return and profitability index more viable, but very close to intercropping.
